She was born July 17, 1937, in Cortland, Ohio, to parents James and Goldie (Takat) Wilson. Marjorie graduated in 1955 from Champion High School and was a member of the Champion Christian Church. She later remarried and moved to Ravenna, making it her permanent residence, where she became an active member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna.
Marjorie had a variety of interests. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, entertaining friends and having cookouts at her home, watching the balloons go over her house during Balloon-A-Fair, various Church activities, and ceramics; which she had won several ribbons. She also enjoyed a good football game from time to time, always the Browns she would giggle. But her main passion was her gardening; which was her "stress" therapy she would say. And anyone that saw her yard or indoor flowers knew she was right.
She is survived by her daughter Chris Fischer of Sandusky, 3 grandchildren: Rachel (Nick) Eisenbarth of Sandusky, Jeremy Furbee of Warren, William Lester, and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Carl Smith, second husband Nick Drotar, son Jeff Smith, and two half-brothers Don and Ted Wilson.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Laurie Metzko at 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St, Ravenna, OH 44266.
