

She was born August 30, 1928, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to parents George Everett and Mary Marie (Matthess) Eddy. Mary was a devoted homemaker and loving mother who was always known for her smile. She was a longtime member of the Shalersville Methodist Church and also attended Crossroads Community Church and the Christian Life Center. Mary was a member of the Silver Sneakers exercise group and enjoyed crocheting. Family always came first in Mary’s life. She was always looking out for others, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
On June 7, 1947, she married the love of her life, Frank E. Baker. He preceded Mary in death on August 12, 2005. She was also preceded by her parents, her sisters Joan Singleman and Betty Visina, and her grandson Paul Skibiski.
She is survived by her children Karen (Edward) Skibiski, Robert (Kathy) Baker, and Douglas (Lisa) Baker, her grandchildren Tracy Baker, Jennifer (John) Panzarella, Emily Baker, John Baker, and Kelly (fiancé Aaron Marshall) Baker, as well as her great-grandchildren Kennedy Sage, and Anthony Panzarella, and her brother Byrl (Donna) Eddy of Colorado.
Friends will be received Monday, December 7, 2015, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Keith McKnight on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
