Mary Louise Sterling Eskridge

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Lucy and John Sterling, sister Katherine, her loving husband James R. Eskridge, son-in-law Robert Batsch, and grandson Zachary Scott Lemonte.

She is survived by her children: James S. (Donna) Eskridge, Bruce E. (Linda) Eskridge, Robert M. (Kathy) Eskridge, Susan L. (Scott) Lemonte, John T. (Kathy) Eskridge, and Pam J. Batsch. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren: James C., Brian (Katie), Amy Cochran, Crystal (Steve) Quinn, Benjamin, Kelly (Andy) Kovach, Ryan (Adessa), Joshua (Sarah) Lemonte, Bobbie (Grant) Clark, Thomas (Heather), Lori Moore, Rebecca Lynn, Michelle (Mark) Batsch, Jamie (Peter) Oyster, and R.J. Batsch; as well as her great-grandchildren: Carson, Ethan, Eli, Charles, McKenna, Gerry, Macey, Morgan, Nadia, Olivia, Chloe, Miriam, Elijah, Mark, and Joy.

Mary retired from Harcourt in 1989 and was active in the Rootstown and Randolph Friendly Neighbors, 60+ Club, and the Rootstown Congregational Church. She was a loving mother and great cook. Mary was an avid seamstress, expert at crocheting, loved yard sales, and traveling. She enjoyed many spirited card games with close friends.

Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Wednesday, June 27, 2012, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Susan Woodall at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown UCC, 4022 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272. Inurnment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
