She was born July 31, 1939, in Akron, Ohio, to parents John and Freda (McGrail) Ankeny. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking, as well as the outdoors. She especially enjoyed sitting by a campfire with family, going for walks, or riding her golf cart, always looking for deer.
Mary is survived by her children: William Dean (Brenda) Lucas, Pamela Sue (Gary) Vargo, David Mark Lucas, and Cheryl Ann Lucas, as well as her 6 grandchildren and all of her loving great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother George Ankeny along with other loving family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William “Bill” Lucas, her sister Sue Ann Mouser, and her brother Jack Ankeny.
