Nancy Helen Cannon

Nancy was born October 26, 1942 in Kent, Ohio, a daughter of the late Donald and Helen Greene. She graduated from Kent State High School in 1960. Nancy then married her high school sweetheart, Dave Cannon on May 4, 1963. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Dave and Nancy traveled the country, camping in 40 out of the 50 states, enjoying each other’s company and the scenery with their beloved dog Brewster.

Her memories will be cherished and she will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Dave Cannon, to whom she was happily married; three children, Christine (Doug) Rothermel of Rootstown, Cindy Acord of Evansville, Indiana, and son Richard (Heidi) Cannon of Brimfield and 5 grandchildren including Ashley and Andrew Rothermel; and Hailey, Bryce, and Kasey Lee Cannon. Along with two sisters and one brother, Donna Byttner of Kent, Alice (Jim) McConnell of Edinburg, and Jim (Helen) Greene, of Cincinnati. Preceded in death, by her brother Jackie Greene, and two sisters Mary Troutman and Linda VanOrmer. Nancy touched many lives and will be forever remembered by her kindness and loving nature.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.

The family asks for all donations to be made to the Portage County APL (Animal Protective League) 8122 Infirmary Rd., Ravenna, Ohio 44266 and flowers to be received at the Funeral Home.
