Norbert was born in Ravenna, Ohio to parents Anthony and Teresa (Frient) Keppler. He was retired from Crown Mold in Streetsboro after a long career as a machinist. Norbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a life-long Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder. He enjoyed camping and flying radio controlled airplanes. Norbert was also a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed good food! Most of all he loved his family and grandchildren.
Norbert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia “Ginger” Keppler. Surviving also are his children: Norbert (Deborah) Keppler Jr., Joseph (Melissa) Keppler, Charlotte (Neil) Martino, Teresa (Matt) Showalter and Carri Keppler. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Fred and his sisters: Cecilia, Ellie and Mary.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. William Kraynak, will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna, on Monday, March 2nd at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
