She was born March 22, 1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to parents Lucille (Sauvage) and Robert S. Heath, Sr. Phyllis graduated from Rootstown High School in 1964 and retired from the Ravenna GE Plant. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and also loved all of her dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Gary M. Vair, her daughter Frances (Kevin) Ochesbine of Streetsboro, her sister Mary Jane (John) McDonald of Rootstown, and her brothers Robert (Pat) Heath Jr. of Rootstown as well as Bobby Heath.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her son Gary Michael Vair, Jr.
Friends will be received Monday, July 27, 2015, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Chaplain Rob Grow officiating the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
