Ray J. Rice

Ray was born on September 19, 1930 in Bolair, W.VA. to parents C. Ray and Elsie Rice.

Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 42 years of service. Mr. Rice was a 35 year resident of Atwater and loved his time spent on his farm and he enjoyed watching all of the animals stray onto his property.

Ray is survived by his sons: Perry (Brenda) Rice, Doug Rice and his daughter Brenda (Cass) Tucholski. Surviving also is his brother, Eddie (Faye) Rice, his sister, Betty (George) Opalenik and his 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Rice and his brother and sister, Dexter and Midge.

Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until the 12:00 P.M. funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert. Interment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
