

Raymond W. Luli, 82, of Rootstown, passed away on August 28, 2025.
Ray was born in Ravenna, Ohio, on November 17, 1942, to parents George H. Luli Sr. and Mary (Hostler) Luli. Ray graduated from Rootstown High School. Ray married his high school sweetheart, Christine (Kline), on August 22, 1964. Ray went on to have over a 50-year career as a bricklayer and was a member of the Bricklayers Local 7 union. Throughout the years, Ray helped many family and friends with masonry projects. He attended St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In his spare time, he liked being in the outdoors and enjoyed farming and gardening. Ray loved to talk and tell stories of growing up as one of eleven children. After retiring, he loved going on cruises with his wife Christine and always looked forward every spring to taking them. Family meant a lot to Ray, and he loved being around his grandchildren and attending their activities.
Ray is survived by his children Angie Luli, Shawn (Kelli) Luli and Amy (Brian) Glass. He will also be sadly missed by his beloved grandchildren: Jordan (Emily) Luli, William Luli, Lauren Glass, Ally Glass. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Allie Luli, Linda (John) Easterday, Mary Kay (Paul) Burnett and brothers-in-law David (Marylou) Kline and Dan (Beth) Kline as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his cat Moose.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Christine Luli, his parents and his siblings: Marita Leyland (Harry), William (Pauline), Florence Trares (John), Margaret Laskos (Walter), Eloise Miley (John “Jack”), George (Carol), John (Allie “Peggy”), Mary Postlethwait (Larry), Sr. Dorothy SND and Charles.
Family will receive friends at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown, Ohio, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. David Misbrener beginning at 12pm. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter of the Fields cemetery.
