Rebecca “Becky” Anne Sferra, age 67 of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her family in her home. She was born May 29, 1959, in Boulder, Colorado, to parents Douglas and Anne (Meyers) Rice.
Family always came first for Becky. She was considered a “Second Mom” to many in her life. Even though she always put her children and grandchildren before herself, she still found time to be a successful business owner.
Becky was a hairdresser for over 40 years and owned the Salon, Hair It Is in Ravenna. She built deep, long lasting friendships with her clientele. Styling the hair of her clients even after they passed on. She would donate her time by cutting hair for the homeless and nursing homes All were welcome in her shop.
Becky is survived by her husband John Sferra, whom she married May 14, 2010, as well as her children: Amanda Jenior, Vincent (Kelly) Sferra, and Jesse (Mallory) Rice, her grandchildren: Angiel, Luke, and Samantha, her siblings: Doug, Andrew, Joe, Cindy, and Diana, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jenny, and her grandson Jamison.
Her wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a memorial service at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St, Ravenna. A Celebration of Life and time of fellowship will follow at the VFW Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Rd, Ravenna.
