Reneé J. Smith

She was born January 30, 1949, in Salem, Ohio, to parents Donald and Joycealene J. (Weaver) Blower. Reneé was raised in Negley, Ohio, and graduated from East Palestine High School in 1967.

Reneé was the senior branch administrator for Edward Jones in Solon. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Macedonia and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 381 in East Palestine. Reneé loved to shop. She also enjoyed dancing, traveling and exploring with her husband, Terry. They went on their first good date on September 19, 1980, and were married on June 20, 1981.

Reneé is survived by her husband Terry Smith, her son James A. Risinger Jr., and her grandchildren Faith Ann Risinger and Hunter James Risinger, along with many loving extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald R. Blower.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM with funeral services officiated by Pastor Josh Elliot at 5:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Tobias officiating on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:45 AM.
