

He was born November 16, 1929, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to parents Samuel E. and Helen Myers (Burkett) Bennett. Dick retired from Babcock & Wilcox, and also owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Cuyahoga Falls. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. Dick enjoyed woodworking and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife Jean Highsmith Bennett of Greeneville, TN, children: Linda (Doug Bartlow) Kory of Tallmadge, Dennis (Pam) Sears of Tallmadge, and Kathleen (Tim) Eup of Monroe Falls, as well as his step-children Jayne (Mark) Robinson of North Carolina and David Highsmith of Tennessee, and son-in-law Ron Craze. His memory will also be cherished by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Bennett, his daughter Cynthia Craze, and his wife Betty Bennett.
