Richard Anthony Sanfilipo

Richard was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 10, 1958 to parents Anthony and Rosemarie SanFilipo.

Richard was a roofer by trade. He was a very active volunteer and Boy Scout leader in the Owl Patrol at Camp Stigwandish in Madison, Ohio. This involvement was very enjoyable and special to him. Richard was a nature lover and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to golf and liked to travel and experience new places. Richard loved movies and really enjoyed history.

Richard is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tomye. Surviving is his daughter, Samantha (Jason) Chitwood and his son, Anthony (Danielle) SanFilipo. Surviving also is his step-daughter, Lorraine (Frank) Mielnik. Richard also leaves his grandchildren: Riley SanFilipo and Emily Mielnik. Also surviving are his siblings: his sister Barbara Davis, and brothers: Michael (Ronda) SanFilipo and Mark (Patty) SanFilipo. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews: Leanne Davis, Brandon Davis, Joseph SanFilipo and Jeremy SanFilipo.

Cremation has occurred and family will receive visitors from 5:00 P.M until the memorial service at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266
