

He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 13, 1923. Dick was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps.
He was a successful home builder and built many homes in Summit and Portage counties. Dick was voted businessman of the year on more than one occasion. He owned Schultz Lake Campground and always enjoyed visiting with the campers. Dick also enjoyed fishing in Canada, wintering in Florida, and all of his friends at Bob's. He loved animals especially his cats, dog and raccoons. It was not unusual to see him with a raccoon sitting on his shoulder.
Dick's family would like to thank his caregivers, Bonnie, Crystal, Ashley, The Visiting Nurses, and Hospice, Dr. J and Christine for his excellent care. They are like family to all of us.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Dolores (Gray) Schultz, his parents Paul Sr. and Hazel Schultz, his grand children Jeffrey and Christopher Wise and Jimmy Schultz.
He leaves behind his daughter Linda (Daniel) Wise and son Randy (Karen) Schultz of Atwater, Jim Schultz of Akron and Dale (Marion) Schultz of Ocklawaha, Florida, 12 grand children and 21 great-grand children. He also leaves his brother Robert (Phyllis) Schultz of Cuyahoga Falls, his brother Paul Jr. of Atwater, his cousin Myrtle Smith of Bedford, Brother-in-law Donald (Isadora) Gray of Stow and Sister-in-law Dorothy Gray of Cuyahoga Falls.
In keeping with Dick's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will take place at the Atwater Cemetery on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11:00 AM officiated by Reverend James Macdonald of the Atwater United Methodist Church.
