I grew up with Richey and lived across the street from him. He had a 49 Mercury that all the guys in our neighborhood would pile in, sometimes as many as 10 or 11 of us. Richey was a role model, he was the James Dean character with the white T-shirt, Lucky Strikes rolled up in his left sleeve, , pegged denim genes and motorcycle boots. His sense of humor was famous. He would give you the shirt off his back and everybody in our gang of guys looked up to him. Although I had not spoken to him for many, many years I am deeply saddened by the loss of such an old and great friend.
Richey, when I see you again I want to ride shotgun in that old hump-back Merc of yours. May God watch over your soul old friend.

Connie and Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Rich. I have so many great childhood memories hanging out with your family at your house in Jefferson riding the 6- wheeler and swimming in the pool. He was a great guy and I will always remember him with a smile. All my best to you and the kids.
