Rita was born August 6, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to parents George and and Gertrude (Lang) Jenior. Rita had been a parishioner at St. Joseph Church for many years. She was an excellent quilter and seamstress. Rita would feed anyone who came to her door and loved playing cards. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.
Rita is survived by her daughter Barbara Brown and her son George (Rebecca) Brown. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: John Brown, Matthew Brown and Tasha Adkins, as well as great-grandchildren: Tori and Nicholas Adkins. Rita is also survived by her sisters: Martha Norton, Mary Huth, Cecilia Miller, sister-in-law Helen (Tony) Heppe, daughter-in-law Peggy White and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Hugo Brown, son Thomas E. Brown, her brothers: Francis and Bernard Jenior and sisters-in-laws: Katherine Bormet, Mary Weinhart and Ann Troyer.
Friends will be received at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph, on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 10:00am until the 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial with the Reverend Thomas Acker S.J. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff at U.H. Hospice, especially Jess, Kim, Carolyn and Ken for their gracious and compassionate care given to Rita.
