Rita Mae Kline

Rita was born in Massillon, Ohio on May 20, 1932, to parents Edward and Cecilia (Grosswiller) Romer. Rita graduated from Massillon Washington High School and married Bernie Kline in 1955. Together they settled in Rootstown and raised their family, residing there for 50 years.

She was a devout catholic and a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Church. Rita enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making and donating scarves to the Haven of Rest. She liked riding on her husband’s motorcycle and their participation with the Gold Wing Road Riders Club. She loved playing euchre, bowling in many leagues over the years and was a big Cleveland sports fan, especially the Indians and Cavs.

Rita is survived by her children Steve (Glenda) Kline, Ron (Sue) Kline, Alan (Julie) Kline, Joyce (Larry) Miller and Jane (Phil) Dobrilovic. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Brandon, Melissa, Kevin, Abby, Jessie, Jenny, Matt and her great-grandchildren Willow, Korben, Amelia, Benjamin and Jack.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard J. “Bernie” Kline and her sisters Dorothy Laubacher, Kathleen Santilli, and Arline Prine.

Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 11am until 1pm. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. Michael Williamson, will be held at 11am on Monday, January 5th, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. Final resting place will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
