Robert H. “Bob” Cline, age 93 of Randolph, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019, at his home. He was born December 5, 1925, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Edward L. and Elizabeth (Metz) Cline. Bob proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Navy in WWII. He retired from CL Gougler Machine Company after 30 years of employment as a machinist. Bob later worked part-time for Immaculate Conception Parish as a custodian, sexton, and school bus driver. Bob was a current member of St. Joseph Parish in Randolph and the Catholic War Vets. He will fondly be remembered for his bright blue eyes and beautiful singing voice. Bob was a member of the St. Joseph Choir and was the vocalist for many weddings throughout the years. He was cast as the lead for the 1949 Kent Elks Minstrel, where his melodic voice touched the hearts and ears of many. But none more than his future bride, Marjorie Beebe. They were married July 15, 1950, and raised their 10 children with love and music, as their own little “Randolph Von Trapp” family. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie Cline, children: Vicky (Bob) Szczech, Douglas Cline, Mary Jo Aikin, Joseph (Carol Safier)) Cline, Susan (Mark) Sherry, Patty (Rob) Parkhurst, Tom (Rose) Cline, Geri (Joseph) Pietrolungo, Matthew Cline, and Holly (Paul) Floyd, as well as his loving 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Edward Cline Jr., Leonarda Fails, Betty Dolin, James Cline, and Elmer Cline. Friends and family will be received Saturday, November 30, 2019, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend Thomas S. Acker, S.J. at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 2483 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260. Private inurnment will take place on a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery. A special thank you to the Randolph Fire Department as well as Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care. Your kindness and gentle manner with our father was greatly appreciated.

To the entire Cline Family - so sorry for your loss, we just heard and we extend our condolences. Mrs. Cline, Matt, Holly, and Geri - we crossed paths with you more than the rest of the family and again are so sad about his passing.
