He was born November 10, 1945, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Russell and Helen (Peterson) Davidson. Bob graduated from Ravenna High School in 1964 and went on to proudly serve his country as a veteran of the US Army. Bob had a 41 year career with the Ford Motor Company, working at the Walton Hills Plant.
Bob enjoyed many of the simple pleasures in life. He liked to throw back a few Miller Lites, especially while sitting by a fire. Bob was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan, and also enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling to Michigan Motor Speedway twice a year for over 15 years. Bob was a member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles, VFW, and American Legion.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Geer) Davidson, who he married December 7, 1975. Also surviving are his sons: Bob (Amy) Davidson Jr., Rich (Adina) Davidson, and Matthew (Kathleen) Monroe, his grandchildren: Tyler, Allison, Shelby, and Megan, and his brother Joseph Minarchik.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Russell, his mother Helen, his step-father John Minarchik, and his brothers James and Virgil Davidson.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Danny Peyton at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with full military honors provided by the US Army and VFW Post 1055 Honor Guards.
