

Robert was born May 6, 1949, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of Robert Henry and Anna Mae (nee Bretti) Huggins. Bob worked at the Eaton Corporation in Aurora before becoming a truck driver with USF Holland, where he retired from in 2009.
He was affectionately known as “Huggy” to his family and friends. Bob was a racing enthusiast. He was an owner and driver of a drag racing car, and participated in countless races throughout the years mostly at the Thompson and Quaker City tracks.
Survivors include his children: Kimberly Huggins of Rootstown, Michelle (Steve) Bohonik of Warren, Sharon Huggins of Cleveland, Amy (B.J.) Mohney of Salisbury, PA; grandchildren: Sidney, Billy, Jacob, and Nicholas Wright; mother: Anna Huggins of Ravenna; sisters: Barbara (David) Sampson and Linda Huggins both of Ravenna. He is also survived by his friend and caregiver Dorothy “Mouse” Bench, as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert Henry Huggins.
As a final act of kindness, Bob donated his body to NEOUCOM to help advance cancer research. There will be a time for family and friends to gather on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:00 PM.
