Robert D Leech

He was born January 29, 1971, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents James Richard and Evelyn (Mathis) Leech. Robert graduated from Rootstown High School in 1989 and was affectionately known as Bobby to his family and friends.

Bobby was a school bus driver for Rootstown Schools for several years and retired from the communications department of the Portage County Sheriff's Department.

Robert loved animals, especially his dog Rayne. He also loved food, Bobby was a great cook who liked to post pictures of his meals, and go to restaurants with family and friends. He enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens. Bobby looked forward to casino trips, family gatherings and game nights, and spending time with his friends.

Bobby is survived by his mother Evelyn Leech, his brother James “Mike” (John Hostetler) Leech, his sister Connie (Butch) Burkett, and his brother-in-law Brian Ward, multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and so many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father James R. Leech, his brother Randal R. Leech, his sister Nancy Ward, and his nieces Haley Ward and Heather Skinner.

Bobby’s wishes for cremation are being honored and no services are scheduled at this time. Final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com
