Robert Edwin Riggenbach

Robert E. Riggenbach passed away suddenly on March 29, 2022. He was born October 24, 1931, in Green Township of Monroe County, Ohio but lived most of his life in Brimfield, Ohio. He was the oldest child of the late Oscar and Mildred (Schneider) Riggenbach.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife Yvonne (Eatinger) Riggenbach and sister Connie Reilly. He is survived by his brother Laverne Riggenbach, his children: Rindy, Rhonda (Bill Wenzlawsh), Rick, and Rod (Stephanie) Riggenbach, six grandchildren: Ryan and Rocky Knotts, Raegan (Knotts) Pettitt (Brad), Anthony and Eric (Stephanie) Riggenbach, Lindsay Riggenbach, and eight great-grandchildren.

Robert graduated from Ravenna Township High School in 1949, where he excelled as basketball player. He was a Navy veteran, and a long time business owner of A to Z Paper Box Co. In his younger years he was an avid bowler, enjoyed card playing, and camping with friends and family. His one true passion was time spent at his beloved "Crick House" in Monroe County, Ohio where he could get on his mower and mow to his heart's content.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with funeral services officiated by John Parker at 12:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park. The family would like to give a special thanks to the 911 operator and Brimfield EMS.
