Robert W Schrock

Robert W. Schrock of Rootstown, Ohio, passed away in January 2025. He was born on July 24, 1950, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Melvin and Nancy (Keener) Schrock. Robert, known as Bob, graduated from Rootstown High School in 1968.

Following his graduation, he began working with his father at Schrock Asphalt. Later, Bob started his own business as a truck driver, owning and operating Schrock Transportation. Over the course of his career, he traveled across 46 states hauling freight. In the late 1970s, he transitioned to the oil industry, hauling crude oil, and eventually became an oil well technician and roustabout.

Bob enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Michael and Matthew Schrock; his sisters, Becky (Randy) Gradhand; Cindy (Terry) Martin and Susan (Armond) Atkins; and his brother, Steve (Mandy) Schrock. Bob also leaves behind two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Schrock, and his mother, Nancy Nourse.

Services for Bob will be held on Tuesday, February 04, 2025, at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, located at 703 E Main St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
