

He was born October 25, 1935, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents John and Willie Mae (Caradine) Woodall. Bob was a well-known auto body repairman in Portage County. He worked at several places and also owned his own, including Quality Body Shop and Woodall’s Garage.
Bob proudly served as a paratrooper in the US Army during the Korean War while stationed at West Point. He was a life member of the Ravenna American Legion Post 331, and former member of the Ravenna Moose, Eagles, and Elks. In addition to working on cars, Bob always enjoyed race horses. He began as a jockey in high school and later owned many horses that he entered at area tracks.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Hazel (Morris) Woodall, whom he met while she was working at Morris’ Busy Corner. Also surviving are their sons: Robert Eric (Karen) Woodall of California and Bill Woodall of Freedom Township, and their grandchildren: Ryan (Britany) Woodall, Tara Woodall, Billie Marie Woodall, Taylor Woodall, and Logan Woodall, along with their great-grandchildren: Lamaunz, Mauni, E.J., and Paisley June. He is also survived by his siblings: Jim Woodall, Gary Woodall, Bill (Susan) Woodall, Janice (James) Madden, Rose (Cliff) Jones, and Della (Kenny) Bonner, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Dave, Jack, and Ralph Woodall.
Bob’s wishes for cremation are being honored, and friends will be received Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join Bob’s family at the Ravenna American Legion for a time of fellowship.
