He was born July 2, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, a son of James R. and Anna Mae (Nedrow) Burkholder. Roger was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his children: Travis Paul Hartung of Leavitsburg, Jane Nedrow of Akron, and Christopher Scott Burkholder of Deerfield; as well as his mother Anna Mae Burkholder of Florida, sister Nancy Givens of Florida, brother Scott Burkholder of Pennsylvania, and grandchildren: Justin, Jeremry, and Jacob. Roger was preceded in death by his father James Burkholder.
