She was born October 12, 1946, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to parents Lordie and Anne (Gagnon) Valois. Rosie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Palmyra Fireflies and a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish. Rosemary enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She also liked to spend time on her computer and cheer for the Cavs. She was a well known bargain hunter, always clipping coupons and going to garage sales.
Rosemary is survived by her beloved husband Louis K. Lantagne, whom she married on July 31, 1965. She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Laura and John Leiendecker, and Lisa and Lincoln Harris, as well as her grandchildren Ethan and Jaret Leiendecker, her brothers Bob (Gayle) Valois, Ron (Karen) Valois, and Tom (Melissa) Valois, and her sister LaVerne Parker.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John “Jack” Valois, and her aunt Miki Olshewski.
Rosemary’s wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends will be received Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Reverend David Merzweiler will celebrate the memorial service at 1:30 PM on Saturday.
