

She was born April 9, 1941, a daughter of the late Herman and Carrie (Miller) Horning and had lived her whole life in Randolph. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish where she was a member of the Altar Society. Ruth worked as a teller at several banks in Portage County over the years. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandma to her three precious grandchildren.
Ruth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt. She will be sadly missed by her family: son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Susan Klodt; daughter and son-in-law: Tricia and Michael McMahon all of Randolph; grandchildren: Kevin Klodt, Erin (David White) and Kelly McMahon; great-granddaughter: Savannah White; brothers: Ernest Horning of Canton, Glenn (Betty) Horning of Uniontown; sister: Florence (Tom) Hogan of Fairfax, VA; she is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robbie Klodt, in 2001. Also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Robert, Gerald, and Harold Horning, and her sister Rose Wiland.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Reverend Ed Wieczorek and Reverend Thomas Dyer at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
