She was born September 9, 1939, in New Martinsville, West Virginia, to parents John LeRoy Miner and Dova V. (Buck) Miner of Reader, WV.
Sandy is survived by her sister Bonnie Jean Sissley of Ravenna, her sons: John Eugene Lattimer of Edinburg and Raymond Charles Lattimer of Deerfield, her daughter Lois (Lattimer) Todd of Brighton, MI; her son-in-law Keith Krause of Charleston, and five grandchildren: Danielle (Krause) Vaughan, Brittany (Lattimer) Goodman, Breanna Lattimer, Sarah Todd and Kathryn Todd; four great-grandchildren: Fallen Goodman, Rowen Goodman, Sophia Vaughan, and Haley Vaughan.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Thelma Lou (Keith) Krause, and her sister Shirley (Miner) Homer of Kent.
Sandra graduated from Southeast High School in 1957. She worked at Kroger’s in Ravenna for over 17 years. She was able to raise her four children with the loving support of her parents, John “Roy” and Dova Miner. When Sandra wasn’t working she was doing something with the kids: a scout leader, a band booster, a ride to a baseball game, band concert, choir concert, or skating rink. Sandra enjoyed sewing, crocheting, singing, playing Bingo and visiting friends and relatives in West Virginia. Sandra spent the final years of her life in Edinburg at the home where she raised her children, now owned by her son John. John abided by Sandra’s wishes to be home, where she was loved.
Her wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM with a memorial service officiated by Mark Lattimer at 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
