Sandra Lynn Legros

She was the daughter of Larry & Janet (Unkefer) Legros, born September 27, 1961. She graduated from Southeast (Ravenna) High School in 1980, Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1983, and received a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Kent State University in 1986. She joined Arthur Andersen & Co. in Fort Lauderdale in 1987. She returned to Ohio in 1989 and joined Ernst & Whinney in Canton, Ohio. She held several other accounting positions until her retirement in 2010. She also studied Christian Ministry at Malone College 1996-1998.

She belonged to Deerfield United Methodist Church. She was also a Sunday school teacher and a mentor in the youth ministry program at Canton First Friends Church for more than 9 years.

Sandy enjoyed traveling, visiting 10 countries and 44 states, including: Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, France, Switzerland, and Italy.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet, a nephew Joseph Michael Legros and a niece Grace Marie Legros.

Sandra is survived by: her father, Larry, a brother, Thomas (Lydia) Legros of Ravenna, Ohio. nephews and nieces, Robert Legros of Brilliant, OH, Craig Legros of Pittsburgh, PA, Elizabeth Legros of Lima, OH, Luke Legros of Ravenna, OH, Carrie (Jeff) Johnson of Winchester, KY, Rebekah Legros of Ravenna, OH, Faith Legros of Ravenna, OH, and Laura Legros of Ravenna, OH. Also, Sandy’s beloved Goddaughter Carol (Michael) Hartzell of Alliance and her loving family. She is also survived by several cousins and many dear friends.

Memorial Services will be held at the Deerfield United Methodist Church on November 13, 2021. Friends will be received from 2:30 to 4:30 pm Saturday November 13, 2021 with a service immediately following. Internment will be at Deerfield Cemetery in a private ceremony. No flowers please.
