

She was born July 25, 1941, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents James Adam and Sarah Margret (Echoff) Adelman. Sarah was a devoted homemaker and also retired from Jet Rubber in Rootstown. Sarah loved crocheting and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and riding her horses.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Clifford I. Stackpole. Clifford had to secretly escort “Mike” to Tennessee for their wedding on June 10, 1961. Sarah is also survived by her children: Ricky (Ruth) Stackpole, Donna (Russell) Gill, Cynthia (Chet) McCoy, Ross (Vicki) Stackpole, and Cliffard G. Stackpole; her brothers: George (Cleo) Adelman, James (Linda) Adelman, William (Kathy) Adelman, and John (Julia) Adelman; as well as her sisters: Betty (Jan) Schoonfield, Rose Miller, Rena (Tom) Chaney, and Anna (Don) Straw. Sarah’s memory will also be cherished by her 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Margret Isabelle Adelman and her brother-in-law Clarence Miller.
Friends will be received Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
