Shauna Lynn Cremeans Young

She was born February 9, 1984, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Harold G. and Ruth A. (Adkins) Cremeans. Shauna graduated from Rootstown High School in 2002 and was currently finishing her degree from the University of Cincinnati. She was active in the band and loved music.

She was known as “Miss Shauna” by the children and parents at Noah’s Ark Daycare. Shauna was great with kids and always willing to help others. She was active in volunteering and enjoyed cooking and baking.

On January 8, 2005, she married Rick Young, and they are the proud parents of their beautiful daughter, Kaycie Raelynn Young. Shauna is also survived by her father Harold Cremeans, her siblings: Tammy Dolin, Darrell Cremeans, and Jeffrey Cremeans, along with nieces and nephews: Brandy Dolin, Ryan (Melanie) Hughes, Jarrod Dolin, Brianna Cremeans, Paige Cremeans, and great-nieces and nephews Coltin and Evan Wymer and Barrett Hughes. She will be dearly missed by her mother and father-in-law Tammy and Rick Penzera, sister-in-law Amanda Penzera, grandparents Beverly and Louie Penzera, and her aunt Shelly Moore, along with many loving cousins, extended family, and dear friends, including Duke, Pam, and Zander Frank.

Shauna was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Cremeans on August 10, 2007.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Jason Moore on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
