Steven Dale Reed

Steven Dale Reed, age 54, passed away on September 27, 2016 - away from family, community, and friends. His life was a long celebration within the Ravenna community from the time of birth at Robinson Memorial Hospital in 1962; a celebration with family, friends, community, and career relationships. He graduated from Rootstown High School in 1980; he fondly remembered his early-career as Parts Manager at Miller Transfer and Rigging Company “Miller Transfer” in Rootstown, OH; he gratefully remembered his mid-career and friends as Service Manager at Sunbelt Rentals in Peninsula, OH; he knew he was graciously nurtured by his recent-career and contacts as Parts Manager at Valley Industrial Trucks Inc., in Akron, OH. His family thanks his Ravenna community for their care as he traveled about town in his big-red truck, and they thank everyone that brought joy and extended-family community happiness to him.

Steve is survived by his father, Walter Reed, Rootstown/Mogadore, OH, and his older brother, Donald Reed and family, Brunswick, OH. Preceding Steve, was his mother, Ella Wanda Reed, Rootstown/Mogadore, OH and his faithful canine companion, brown/white Chelsea.

Steve’s wishes for private family cremation arrangements are being honored, and no services are scheduled prior to private final resting at Homeland Cemetery, Rootstown Township, OH.
