Susan M. Bailey

April 5, 1951November 7, 2020

Susan M. (Reitz) Bailey, 69, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 7, 2020.

A resident of Edinburg, she was born April 5, 1951 to Eugene and Norma (Gilham) Reitz. Susan was a beautiful person inside and out. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone, a trait that served her well while working over the years as a bartender for both Portage Pro Bowl and the 11th Frame. After enjoying ten years at the 11th Frame, she went on to manage the Certified gas station and truck stop in Edinburg, retiring after five years of service. Susan loved having fun and loved her animals. She was renowned throughout the United States as an expert Alpaca trainer and groomer. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her devoted and loving husband, George G. Bailey, son William (Chelsea) Bailey, stepson Michael Bailey and stepdaughters: Deborah Bailey and Cynthia (Rick) Oblisk. Surviving also are her beloved grandchildren: James, Shawn and Chad (Amber) Hamilton; Cody Bailey, Marie and Pamela Allman, Richard Oblisk, Logan, Zander, Neicco Bailey and 6 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings: Ron (Cheryl) Reitz, Pam (Bill) Cicora, Bill (Wanda) Reitz and Bob (Patty) Reitz.

Her parents preceded Susan in death.

Her wishes for cremation have been honored and no services are scheduled.

I first met Sue at the miniature tent at Randolph Fair Grounds . We became good friends and spent many hours together enjoying each other company, We talked a lot and laughed, there is always a lot to laugh about at the fair and taking care of the animals. I got to give Sue her last hug at the 2019 fair little did I know that would be the last one. Then I read in the Obituaries that she had pasted, Sue you will always have a place in my heart. I will never forget you rest in peace my friend.
