Thomas Clell Carr Sr.

He was born February 20, 1942, in Akron, Ohio. Tom was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked as a truck driver. He loved the outdoors and his dogs. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years Kathy (Bock) Carr and his children: Renee (Aaron) Coates of Rootstown, Tom (Kathy) Carr Jr. of North Canton, Mary Anne (Tim) Ravis of Ravenna, and Andrea (Art) Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland. Tom is also survived by his mother Garnet Winkler, his brother Gary Carr of Akron, and his grandchildren: Avery and Lauren Coates, Ethan, Kaylee, and Sienna Carr.

Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Friday, July 27, 2012, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM memorial service officiated by Reverend David Merzweiler at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Inurnment will follow at West Cemetery in Palmyra.
