Vinny R Jarvis

He was born April 8, 1971, in Barberton, Ohio, to parents Everett Vineyard and Kathleen Dale (Haas) Jarvis. Vinny graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School and worked as a mechanic.

Vinny truly was a “Jack-of-all-Trades” and enjoyed working on cars and remodeling homes. He was a kind person who was always willing to help others. Vinny liked listening to country music, but above all, he loved his family.

Vinny is survived by his mother Kathleen Jarvis, his fiancé Juanita McLaughlin, his son Russel (Samantha) McLaughlin, his sisters Tina (Mike) Boden and Priscilla (Doug Boyd) Jarvis, his nieces: Brooke (Jay) Wade, Destiny Jarvis-Holt, and Ivy Boyd, his great-nephews: Landon, Leland, and Levi Wade, along with many loving extended family members and friends, including his father figures Tracy Counts and Keith (Regina) Eckmeyer.

Vinny was preceded in death by his father Everett Jarvis and his uncle Hayward Jarvis.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Ken Baker at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
