Virginia A. Barr

She was born November 1, 1948, in Chesterland, Ohio, to parents David and Doris (Dukas) Leuser. She was affectionately known as “Ginny” to her family and friends. Virginia’s willingness to help others led to a career that included stops at Edwin Shaw, the Salvation Army, and as a home health aide. She also had a strong love for animals, especially her cat, Big John. Ginny also had a knack for finding a bargain and enjoyed going to yard sales, thrift shops, and flea markets.

Virginia is survived by her children: Troy (Jennifer) Koehler, Tracy Koehler, Randy Johnson, Richard Barr, Fred (Tina) Barr, and Cindy (Gary Richmond) Barr. She is also survived by her husband of 28 years William Barr, her father David Leuser, her brother Bart Leuser, along with all of her loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Doris Leuser and her brother Brandon Leuser.

Ginny’s wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a memorial service following at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
