Virginia was born in Randolph, Ohio on August 15, 1931 to parents John and Grace (Riemenschneider) Shull. She lived in Randolph her entire life and enjoyed a long career in nursing, retiring from Robinson Memorial Hospital after more than 30 years of service. She and her husband John were members of the German-American Club and enjoyed dancing every weekend for years. She and John were also members of St. Joseph Church in Randolph for over 60 years. Virginia liked to play cards and crochet and was quite a Cleveland Indians fan. Most of all she loved her family.
Virginia is survived by her children: David (Sherri) Schweninger, John (Debora) Schweninger, Marty (Debbie) Schweninger and Kathryn (Stanley) Wojciechowski. She also leaves her grandchildren: Christopher (Amy) Scott, Michael (Laine Hendricks) Schweninger, Justin (Angel) Scott, Ashley (Dan) Weimer, Jared Schweninger, Angie (Dan) Wallace, Adam Schweninger, Sarah Wojciechowski and Katie Wojciechowski. Surviving also are 6 great-grandchildren, her sister Cora Peck and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Schweninger.
Friends will be received on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio from 2:00PM until 5:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. Thomas Acker, will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, April 20th at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph, Ohio 44260. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
