He was born January 2, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Ruth (Towne) and Wesley B. Whitacre Sr. Wesley proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. Wes enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, sitting around a campfire, or cooking on the grill. He was also an avid bowler in his younger years.
Wesley is survived by his children: Wesley B. Whitacre III, T.J. (Brittany) Whitacre, and Jamie Whitacre, his sisters: Susan (David) McDermitt and Hazel Whitacre, as well as many nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish his memory are Wesley’s beloved grandchildren: Adora, Skylar, and Owen.
