He was born July 12, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Noble Edens and Betty (Pintosi) Melesky. William proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the US Army, 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. He later joined Ravenna American Legion Post 331. William was a computer whiz who enjoyed tearing apart and rebuilding computers.
William is survived by his mother Betty Melesky, his siblings: Don (Connie) Edens, Ron Edens, Connie (Raymon) Kellison, Thomas Melesky Jr., and Kim Coontz, as well as his daughter Tiffany Edens Fullwood, and his “favorite” niece Katie Bess.
William was preceded in death by his father and his daughter Amber Salcedo.
Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville on a later date.
