

Mary Lou (Casey) Huth passed away on October 15, 2017 at Florence KY of natural causes. She was 89 years old. Mary Lou was born on July 18, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to Peter Francis and Mary Gertrude (McNary) Casey. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1946.
She married Lawrence J. Huth on August 11, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA. They shared a deep and lasting faith in the Catholic Church and enjoyed a rich and rewarding marriage for 60 years until Larry’s death in 2010.
Mary Lou was a homemaker and raised five children while living in Pittsburgh PA, Lancaster PA, and Cincinnati, OH. When her children had grown, she worked as a secretary, sales representative, and support staff. Upon retirement she and Larry moved to Largo, Florida where they enjoyed many happy years of beach walks, date nights and travel together. Mary Lou and Larry believed strongly in giving to their community; they volunteered and worked for many years at Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater, FL and were active assisting converts to the Catholic faith in RCIA at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Largo.
Mary Lou’s greatest source of pride was her family; she found great joy in family reunions and celebrations. She believed in meeting life head on. She was Irish to her core; she loved a good laugh and never let the troubles of life overcome her. People loved talking to Mary Lou; she was a compassionate listener and offered many friends and acquaintances a shoulder to cry on when worries beset them. She enjoyed watching classic movies and had an encyclopedic knowledge of Hollywood history.
Mary Lou is survived by her children; daughters Christine McTague (Bob) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marianne Scott (Bob) of Villa Hills, Kentucky; sons Mark Huth (Carter) of Port Townsend, Washington, Frank Huth (Gina) of Jacksonville, Florida and Tom Huth (Renee) of West Chester, Ohio; her sisters Joan Dumm of Washington, PA and Margie Kerlin (Wes) of Bridgeport, PA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on November 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, 1150 Donaldson Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. Visitation will begin prior to the mass at noon.
