Shirley Ann Carlton

Heaven received another blessing this day. Shirley Ann Carlton, 78, of Batavia, Ohio (formerly of Orlando) went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2018 surrounded by family at her home in Batavia, Ohio. She was born December 15, 1939 in Jacksonville, FL to the late William R. and Leafie (Knowles) Carlton.

Shirley graduated from Edgewater High School and worked as a dental technician for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church friends, researching genealogy, reading God’s Word, listening to Gospel music and helping others. She was a virtuous woman blessed with Godly wisdom and a true Servant’s heart.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Leslie (Fredia) Wilson and Billy (Mary) Wilson. She is survived by her brother, Gerald (Juanda) Wilson; her sister, Sue (Alton) Lee; daughters Tonia (Patrick) Hinkle and Sonia (Brian) Lamb; grandchildren Emily Lamb, Nicolas Lamb and Lily Hinkle; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and church family.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Tree of Life Church, 6477 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.

A Celebration of Life service will take place from 12:00PM - 2:00PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734.
