

Albert L. Mast, 82, of Exeter Twp., passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kathryn H. (Rittenhouse) Mast. The couple married on July 28, 1951.
Born on November 26, 1931 in Exeter Twp., Albert was a son of the late John and Mary (Huyett) Mast. He was raised by his grandparents, Ed and Bertha Huyett.
Albert was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.
He was employed with Clayton Webber Construction as a carpenter until he started his own business remodeling.
Albert was a member Goodwill Beneficial and Pikeville Sportsman Club. He enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, making puzzle frames and working in his flower beds.
Albert was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Reading.
In addition to his wife, Kathryn; Albert is survived by three daughters: Cynthia F. Schaeffer and her husband, Glen of Fleetwood, Mary Ann McCann and her husband, Terry of Exeter Twp. and Kay L. Emerson and her husband, Eric of Exeter Twp.; five grandchildren: Lindsay C., Kelli R., Kevin M., Brandon M. and Matthew P.; five great grandchildren: Ryan, Evan, Luke, Mason and Mila; one great granddaughter on the way, Amelia; a sister: Jeanette Foreman of Reading and his loving cat, Ameratto.
Albert is predeceased by his brother, Robert Mast.
Funeral services for Albert will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:30am in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received on Saturday morning in the funeral home from 10:30 to 11:30am. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
