Alice Josephine Knauer

Born on August 3, 1931 in Alsace Township, PA, she was one of nine children born to Lucia Ochocki and Charles Rhein. She was predeceased by her husband William Q. Knauer, sister Clara Meals and four brothers; Charles Rhein, Elwood Rhein, David Rhein, and Timothy Rhein.

Alice was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Penn High School. She was a member of Trinity UCC Church, Mt. Penn, for over 80 years. For many years she was a member of their choir. She worked at Bocsov's Department store until she retired. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, bingo, and creating plastic canvas projects.

She is survived by her sisters; Gertrude Reeser and Doris Pfleger, along with one brother, Robert Rhein. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, one daughter, Cynthia, two grandchildren, Tanya and Zachary, and great grandchildren.

Private burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery with no viewing, as per Alice's request. Auman's Inc Funeral Home, is honored to be serving the family. www.aumansinc.com
