Her husband, Edward O. Darnell, passed away September 18, 1994.
She was born in Reading on June 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Pedro and Florence (Conover) Machicote.
Anna was an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and was employed by Penn Optical in Reading as a Lab Technician for 21 years retiring in 1990.
She is survived by her niece, Joanne and her husband, Eugene Price of Palm Coast, FL.; Margaret Covington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her husband, Anna was also predeceased by her daughter, Mary E. Hancock, April 19 2002 and her sister, Mary E. Jones.
Services will be Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in Bethel A.M.E. Church 330 W. Windsor St., Reading. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Monday 10-11:30 a.m. in the church.
