Ms. Barbara Ann Sweigert

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Elwood Sweigert, Sr. and Vivian (Myers) Sweigert.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion Norman Dunkelberger

She was employed as a Bookkeeper with the former Kregies Department Store, Penn Street, Reading and lastly as a nurse's aide at the Berks County Home - Berks Heim and had previously been a longtime volunteer at the former Community General Hospital, Reading.

Barbara's sincere joy in life was taking yearly 2 week family vacations in Stone Harbor where she would make her family indulge her every morning in singing "Oh, what a beautiful morning" as she prepared for another day in her paradise.

She is survived by her sister Vicki Boyer and husband Scott of Exeter Township along with several beloved nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her cousin Sheila Renninger. She was predeceased by her brother Elwood Sweigert, Jr. and longtime friend Dr. Patadia

A viewing for Barbara, a longtime City of Reading resident, will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601. A second viewing will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Auman's, Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. The funeral service will begin Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Auman's, Inc. with interment following in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
