Bessie May Miller

Bessie May Miller, 80, of Reading, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald H. Miller, Sr.; he preceded her in death in 2010.

Bessie was born in Reading on November 19, 1931. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Gulden) Lessig.

Bessie was employed with Weis Markets as a cashier for 10 years until she retired in 2008. Prior to that, she was employed with the former W. T. Grant Department store and McCrory’s Department store.

She was a member of the Central Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald H. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Muhlenberg and Kevin G. miller of Reading; three daughters, Debra L. Frymoyer and her husband, Bruce of Hamburg, Pat A. Adams and her husband, David of Mohnton and Cindy M. Huber of Robesonia; 10 grandchildren, Michelle L. Miller, Michael P. Miller, Bruce W. Frymoyer, Jr., and his wife, Kristy, Beth A. Lunsford and her husband, Jarel, Jake E, Adams, Reana M. Huber, James D. Huber, Samantha J. Decker, Chelsea L. Decker and Zachary M. Nagle;17 great grandchildren, Shauna M. Yeakley, Kristine M. Yeakley, Yasmine J. Miller, Octavia T. Miller, Michael P. Miller, Jr., Nicole A. Frymoyer, Cody H. Frymoyer, Shawn M. Pokrop, Bryce W. Frymoyer, Khalil Lunsford, Brenden Lunsford, Christopher Lunsford, Kiani L. Wilson, Leilani J. Lunsford, Kaziah W. Lunsford, Jason M. Duncan, and Elijah N. Serrano and two sisters, Anna Wagner and her husband, Robert of Alabama and Ethel Evans of Birdsboro.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl E. Miller; a brother, Charles Lessig and a sister, Dorothy Whitehurst.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am until the hour of service. Burial will follow services at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
