Betty Jane Evans

Betty Jane Evans, 80 of Reading passed away on Thursday at her residence. She was born on April 10, 1931 in Reading to the late Norman and Lillian (Blandford) Youse. She worked for over 30 years as a waitress at Pomeroy's in Reading. She was a member of the Sinking Spring VFW and the Berkshire Fire Company. Betty Jane is survived by her husband Walter G. Evans and three sons; Mark Fair and his wife Carole, Reading, Michael Fair and his wife Tina, Reading and Brian Fair, Reading. She also is survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, Charles Youse, Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Auman Funeral Home, 390 West Neversink Road, Reading and on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 AM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.aumansinc.com.
