Born in Lansing, MI on April 12, 1936, Bud was the son of the late John and Mable (Lewis) Ray. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen M. Ray; his children, Wendy, Mark, Bruce, Todd, Deanna, and Michael; and his siblings, Nell, John Jr., Lou Ellen, Wayne, Jack, and Rodney.
Bud is survived by his devoted daughters, Michele (Michael) Lill and Colleen (Michael) Vallonio; his son, Albert Ray; and his loving companion, Bonnie Ritter. He also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Bud dedicated many years of his life to a career with Wolverine World Wide, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment. Following his retirement, he found great joy in gardening and painting, a hobby that brought him peace, creativity, and happiness. Whether tending to his gardens or creating artwork, he took pride in sharing the fruits of his labor with those around him.
