C. Lorraine (Kopf) Hartman, 82, of Birdsboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Donald M. Hartman. The couple was married in Broad St. UM Church, Lancaster on June 11, 1955. Sadly, Donald passed almost 10 years ago to the day.
Born in Lancaster on December 7, 1935, Lorraine was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Catherine A. (Leidy) Kopf. She was a J P McCaskey High School graduate, Class of 1953. She was employed with the Leader Home in Pottstown as an Activity Director for 8 years. She was a faithful member of St. Pauls’ UM Church, Geigertown. Her church family was very important to her.
Lorraine loved swimming and going to the pool. She took pleasure in traveling to the beach, enjoyed arts and crafts, was very creative and was very close to her longtime friends. Her family were very important to her.
Surviving are three children: Richard W. Hartman and his wife, Donna M. of St. Lawrence, Jeffrey H. Hartman and his wife, Lisa of Barto and Christine B. (Hartman) McCann and her husband, Richard J. of Birdsboro; eight grandchildren, Rich, Mandy, Stacey, Jason, Jess, Jen, Janelle and Ryan and a great granddaughter, Megan Grace.
Also surviving is a brother, Harry C. Kopf of Mountville, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Donald; Lorraine is predeceased by a grandson, Brian Irvin Hartman and a brother, James N. Kopf.
A Memorial Service for Lorraine will be at 11am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Geigertown, 1136 Geigertown Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s UMC Geigertown, 1136 Geigertown Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Lorriane Hartman.
