Carmela Lynn White

Carmela was a member of St. James Chapel Church of God in Christ. She always loved going to church, Bible Studies and other church activities. Her favorite song was “What a Mighty God We Serve”. Her favorite chapter in the bible was Isaiah 40:1-31. She loved praising God and thanking Him for everything.

She was a loving person. She cared about all people. Whatever she could do to cheer them up, she did. She especially liked to draw comical pictures and give them out to people. Some were really funny and people couldn’t help but laugh. She always had words of encouragement for someone. She was able to connect with people.

Carmela liked to read. She read the bible, inspirational books, art books, mysteries like “Nancy Drew”, “Sherlock Holmes”, “Agatha Christie” etc.

Carmela also liked traveling. She loved seeing different places, people, etc. She liked trying out different foods wherever she went. She loved her Big Whopper and French Fries!

When she was able, she would take little walks to talk to people and enjoy the outdoors. Carmela was a delightful person to be with. She tried to enjoy life to the fullest here on Earth.

Carmela will be sadly missed by many. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her mother, Dollie Tames of Reading; her aunt, Patricia Butler of Reading; her uncle, John Burton of Florida and many cousins.

A memorial service for Carmela will be at 4:00pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in St. James Chapel Church of God in Christ, 11 S. 9th St., Reading, PA 19601. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Reading is entrusted with the arrangements.
